silver-gold-xo asked: Just wondering, does anyone else say 'picking to rain'? I've heard it's a welsh thing, I just assumed it was a common phrase! I've been saying it all my life.
I have never heard this phrase before. I even googled it and they didn’t know.
We’ve finally managed to narrow the number of people who asked to be an admin down to six (which is pretty good, considering we had almost 100 requests in total).
Hopefully we’ll have sorted out our new admin(s) soon, but until then, thank you so much for your cooperation and patience.

hayleyyt asked: I went to the pub after the torch went through my town, and it turns out several of the torchbearers chose to go to this pub after too, anyway, one of the torchbearers was a disabled boy and as he and his family passed through the garden of the pub everyone stopped what they were doing, stood up and cheered and clapped, it was one of the best moments ever, I don't really know why I'm submitting this but I guess I just really love being British :)
the-eleventh-blog asked: omg apparently when the olympic torch was suppose to be going through a cornish town people started cheering a man, but it turned out it was just a guy running from security guards after stealing something from the co op.

110th asked: But I guarantee most of us Brits would say "an American accent", referring to the Midwest accent when in the same way they are hundreds of variations. Unless the accent is obviously New York/New England/Southern etc we usually generalise in exactly the same way. I do agree it can be annoying though.
Aye, Brits are just as guilty. It’s rare you’ll find someone who can distinguish each state from the others in the UK, although thanks to TV it is easy to say which sort of area the US accent is from.
I think the main irritation for Brits though is the fact that each country likes to be known for its own achievements and separate from the others. To compare, telling a Scot they sound English would be like telling a Canadian they sound American. They’re on the same bit of land, but they like to be kept separate.
slutformisha asked: Can I just point out Britain is hosting an award show in their own country, and still losing to the Irish? Well done Britain, you're very very polite and we love you for it.
la-la-leah asked: Surely they just meant that when 3 people get there at the same time, you all wait to give way to the person on the right and its like a circle of giving way and someone ends up having to just go...
